Thienthanh graduated with a M.S. in Biology from the University of Central Florida. Her research was on the “zombie-ant fungus”, Ophiocordyceps, a fungal parasite that manipulates the behavior of its ant host. Prior to this, she earned a B.A. with a double major in Biology and Neuroscience from Wesleyan University. During her time in graduate school, she worked as a graduate teaching assistant for mycology and general biology classes. She wants to use her creativity, love for science, and humor to communicate ideas and scientific concepts in a more fun, engaging and accessible way.
